Sculptris is a virtual sculpting software program, with a primary focus on the concept of modeling clay. It entered active development in early December 2009,[1] and the most recent release was in 2011.[2]

Users can pull, push, pinch, and twist virtual clay. It is geared toward character sculpting and 'organic' models.

Sculptris is a free, 3D, digital sculpting software. Sculptris wants you to make 3D models. Sculptris Pro Ignore the constraints of polygon distribution and simply – sculpt! Sculptris Pro will dynamically add (tesselate) and remove (decimate) polygons wherever and whenever needed. It does this during your brush stroke in a real-time process called Tessimation. 3D meshes (.obj) can be imported into the program for further detailing, generating normal and displacement maps.

In late July 2010, Sculptris inventor Tomas Pettersson joined the Pixologic team (makers of ZBrush), who have taken over Sculptris development.[3] He left Pixologic 'a while' before March 2014.[4]

Dear Mac-Forums,
I just downloaded and installed Sculptris (a 3d modeling software by Pixelogic). I can properly open the programme and click a number of buttons but whenever I touch the modelling sphere or plain it crashes immediately, time after time. I have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010) running on El Capitan 10.11.3 since 3 days.
Some more specs:
NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR3 memory on 2.53GHz configuration.
2.53GHz Intel Core i5 processor with 3MB shared L3 cache
4GB (two 2GB SO-DIMMs) of 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM
It should support 1024 by 768 resolutions according to the tech specs....
Any idea why it keeps crashing? My system seems to fit the Sculptris requirements (http://pixologic.com/sculptris/requirements/). I am not such a tech expert so a relative laymen's explanation would be appreciated!
I attached an apple crash report.
Thanks in advance!
